About Liz
I’m Liz, the founder of Sweet P Floristry – a family-run floral studio based in Fairy Meadow, Wollongong, servicing events from Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs all the way down to Nowra.
Originally from the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, I now live in Wollongong with my husband and our two beautiful kids, Parker and Bobby. My journey into floristry began while planning my own wedding in 2020. I found myself completely drawn to the creative process, and it quickly became clear that I wanted to pursue a career in events and florals.
After taking a one-day course at Pearsons School of Floristry, I knew I’d found my calling. I enrolled in their full career course shortly after — but life had other exciting plans! I pressed pause on my studies to welcome our daughter, Parker, in late 2021, followed by our son, Bobby, in mid-2023.
After a whirlwind few years of weddings, babies, and moving cities, I felt it was time to return to what lit me up. I enrolled in a Certificate II at TAFE, which reaffirmed that floristry was where I was meant to be. I then completed my Certificate III at Pearsons, and from there, Sweet P Floristry was born — lovingly named after our daughter, our original “Sweet P.”
I saw a real gap in the market for simple, stylish event florals that could be ordered online with ease and delivered directly to your door. Whether it's a birthday, engagement, baby shower, or christening, my goal is to make beautiful flowers accessible, effortless, and unforgettable.
